I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis after presenting to Gp with mild upper back pain

GP gave me codeine pain relief but after a week still really unable to move freely or sleep I am desperately wanting answers but GP unavailable until next week. Are you still on Prolia, Pam?
My first injection went just fine, but after my second one my lips swelled up, so I had to quit.
I have taken Tymlos for two years with good results and little side affects.
Per my PCP's advise I took Actonel for my severe osteoporosis. After 10 mos. I stopped taking it because of the horrible side effects (fever, nausea, digestive issues, hair loss). He is now pushing me to take Prolia and I really want to try a natural route (without side effects) for a year until my next bone density test. Thinking of AlgaeCal Plus/Strontium Boost. Any opinions?
Still on Prolia after 9 years. Dexa due October, will report results.
No side effects and last Dexa 2020 was positive.
I did Prolia twice yearly for 4 years, then it stopped helping so I got a Reclast infusion last May and now am due to start daily at home Tymlos injections for two years before going back to Prolia. This is supposed to cause new bone growth. Waiting on insurance approval. My next Dexa scan is due in August. Have a great day y'all!
I have osteopenia of more than 10 years duration. My MD would like me to take Fosamax. I have bad teeth--I receive regular dental care and floss and brush with prescription strength fluoride toothpaste like I'm supposed to, but I have numerous crowns/fillings, 4 implants, I've had several root canals and broken teeth. I'm wondering what besides Prolia or biphosphanates I could take. I am afraid of osteonecrosis of the jaw--I'm also afraid of breaking a hip. I take calcium and Vit D supplements… read more

I have been given antibiotics and he advised me not to start the treatment until oral health is better. I’m now worried to start this tbh risks are scaring me. If someone could give me some encouragement as the dentist said ostencronosus can effect you with this treatment thank you Ingrid
