I have been diagnosed with 2 compression fractures one of T7 and L4 over a year ago, T7 still causes me pain especially when I'm on my feet for extended periods of time and when I perform house cleaning jobs such as vacuuming and mopping floors. I work in retail so I have no alternative but to be on my feet for 7 to 8 hours a day. Everything I've read said they should heal within 6 to 8 weeks but I just dont that is my case. Any feed back is welcome!
I was diagnosed today. I haven’t stopped crying. I have been a very healthy person. I’m scared after reading about the side effects of all those medications. I wonder if there are people who have decided not to take any medication and treat it just with a good diet and exercise. Is that a good idea?
Thanks,
During an endoscopy recently I was found to have a large hiatus hernia. That explains my acid reflux and heartburn! I’m now on 30 mg a day of Lanzaprozole which is helping a bit.
I had been taking Forteo injections for two years and did have an increase in my T-score, especially the hip area. Then once off for a few months for some dental work before starting Prolia, I fell and broke my hip. Now I experience anxiety, experience thigh pain when I am up for an extended period of time.
Has anyone else ever had a fracture while on treatment?
I refused bone meds out of fear of side effects and have suffered four vertebral fractures and scoliosis. I am miserable and now my oncologist says they probably can’t be fixed by Kyphoplasty because I have discs involved. But I need an MRI and to see a neurosurgeon. I’ve been in a recliner for seven months and I feel my life is over. Can anyone relate or help me?

Does anyone use this for their osteoporosis?
I was diagnosed at 42 which was 2 years ago. Caused by to my knowledge ppi use, steroids, being very slim and other health issues. I put on 5 kgs since my scan in 2016 but still slim and had a scan this August hoping, as did my consultant, that my condition had improved. Sadly it's deteriorated in my hips and moreso in my spine.
I was initially sent for my dexa scan due to my medical history and three fractures in 6 months- one cough fracture in… read more
