Hello - As a software engineer (and a woman with osteoporosis) I am thinking of putting together a phone app which would be helpful to people with osteoporosis. I know there are apps out there which will tell you how much calcium you are getting in your food - wondering if anyone is using them and what you like/don't like about them.

What other sorts of things might a phone app be helpful for with monitoring osteoporosis - maybe setting exercise goals and sending reminders? setting goals… read more

Should I Be Worried

Should I Be Worried

Lower back pain all the way into my foot . Sore calf and numb genital area with slight loss of urine . Gp sent me to a&e for emergency m.r.i . They said the dont do them as an emergency. Left the department in tears . Gp phoned again asking me to go back . I simply didn't have the energy . I'm 52 and I have severe osteoporosis and had many fractures . My last was my right clavicle in 5 places. 2 plates and 9 screws fitted

What Treatments Are Any Of You Taking And Are You Happy With The Results?

What Treatments Are Any Of You Taking And Are You Happy With The Results?

So far I've been taking various OTC supplements only - none of the many prescription treatments. My T score has moved from -5.0 in 2017 to -4.3 recently. I would like very much to hear what treatments and what level of success any of you are having that might influence my decision… read more
