I have osteoporosis and disintegrating disk disease my t score is -3.5 I asked my nurse practitioner if she could order a xray on my back because I wanted to know if I had any spinal fractures she said that the radiation from the machines will wreck my bones even more has anyone ever been told this
I am 68 years old with Scoliosis, spinal stenosis and degenerated disk in spine, I broke 9 bones in my foot and snapped the tendon 6 years ago and had surgery, I have since broken bones in my foot twice, that brought on a bone density scan and the diagnosis of Osteoporosis. Thanks for any information you can give me.
I have put off starting anything until next endocrine appointment. I do not want to risk jaw problems, I have dental surgery next month.
I am supposed to be getting stenosis surgery soon. Should I be concerned about healing if I am on medication?
Compressed pain in top of chest, behind breast, on and off then feel to have shrunk some more, bad neck pain that has gone now, I have been taken off my weekly tablet, been off it since November, do these symptoms relate

I've seen a lot of comments about Vitamin D levels being low, how do we know if it's low? I know I need a blood test to confirm but how did you feel that made you go to the doctor to have it checked, please?
I've been feeling tired and have aches in both my arms and legs arms feel so heavy and tired, I already take Cal D for my Osteoporosis so thought that was enough .
Thank you for your help.
I go on long walks for exercise . 2-3 miles, alot of it uphill. When I get back or almost back home, I find my hips are sore and so is my back, especially my back the next morning. I know walking is good for arthritis, but is it good for osteoporosis as well? The pain is tolerable, but I was just wondering if walking is a good thing for me.
