I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis after presenting to Gp with mild upper back pain
Had Prolia injection two weeks ago and within 24 hours developed flu like symptoms and then lower back pain like I had a broken back. GP gave me codeine pain relief but after a week still really unable to move freely or sleep I am desperately wanting answers but GP unavailable until next week. For those of you on Prolia.............I am glad that you have suffered no major side effects. But, it's those women who now have serious ailments like hip pain, jaw pain, loosing teeth and hair, to name a few! Effects they have never experienced before taking Prolia. I've had many of the other medications (Fosomax, Actonel, and Reclast) over past 11 years. No side effects! But with Prolia the reviews were so scary.......either the best medication ever or the worst one! I'll try my hand at daily walking, balance exercises and suggested amounts of Calcium (1500 mg) + Vit D and some Magnesium to see how I fare on my own.
Hi Pam, So sorry to hear your having problems. I could have written your question almost exactly the same as you did
Within 6 hours I started chilling and was freezing all night with those flu like symptoms you described. Then a week later with the suppressed immune system got the flu and pneumonia. A tooth fell out and 2 more are lose now. The back pain prevents me from being able to sleep at night or to walk past my driveway. That shot was the worst decision I've made. Never again will anyone convince me to take Prolia. My second shot was due a few days ago but I refuse.
I find Prolia very good, no side effects, having my 6 monthly jab next week
I feel the same Janetma ♥️ no more injections for me…. I walk daily, do lots of stretches and some exercise, but mostly walking and eating a healthy diet along with my vitamins…. Good luck to you ♥️
The worst injection I ever. Every bone in my body hurt..
