Per my PCP's advise I took Actonel for my severe osteoporosis. After 10 mos. I stopped taking it because of the horrible side effects (fever, nausea, digestive issues, hair loss). He is now pushing me to take Prolia and I really want to try a natural route (without side effects) for a year until my next bone density test. Thinking of AlgaeCal Plus/Strontium Boost. Any opinions?
Hello ladies I have been on prolia for 1 year no side effects. Actually my last bone density was better I had a hard time believing it. But within that year I have done a lot of weight bearing exercises I think that’s the key
I had my Bone scan last week & my bones have not deteriated in the three years of being on Prolia which is very pleasing it's taken the worry away thinking my bones are getting worse.
I keep active & try & eat well also get at least 8 hours sleep at night if possible.
Cheers Victoria xx

Hi Anneka , I have heard from a friend of mine this week that she is in Hospital with many fractures in her spine due to not having the 6 monthly Prolia injections regularly. I would like to stop it but it looks like I will be on it forever , it seems the relay drugs can also cause problems . Damned if we do & damned if we don’t !
Walking, and walking some more (lots of hills) per my doctor. Most days I log over 13000 (my daily goal) steps and have reversed my osteoporosis while being on prolia. Good luck to you 😁
Hi Poodlelady
I’ve been on prolia for one year actually according to this last bone density test two shots later my bones have gotten better hard to believe but that’s what the doc says but I do a lot of fitness I try to do weight-bearing exercises and I live in sunny Florida that all helps our bones
