Have it the silent killer and my Dr recommended this,I am very hesitant to do it. Just the side effects give me that gut feeling,no no. Drs. only give info on studies not human contact which gives you more confidence in doing it. At least here I get to read different viewpoints of people in their on expierences. Will continue with what I believe is good for my body exercise weight training and eating healthyand of course my vitamin K2 and D3. Knowledge is power so read as much material to make… read more

I did both of them and it worked great without any side effects. Now I’m just taking prolia shot every 6 months. I have had great results!

I am currently taking a daily injection called Teriparatide. It’s the generic for Forteo. I was concerned about the cardio side effects of evenity. Plus Forteo doesn’t cause dental issues. Per the dr. I will be doing this for 18-24 months. I’m only 7 months into it, bone scan scheduled for next January. Then he’s suggesting zoledronic acid IV. But I need to make him aware that I had severe bone pain with Boniva and a different doctor took me off it and it happens to be in the same family of drugs as zoledronic acid. So he will need to adjust the plan. I’ll speak to him about it after the bone scan. Best of luck to you.

Hi its Bertha I can see you had no improvement and that is why I am hesistant on drugs if one does not work lets try this one. Why is one drug better then another they are all in the same class are they not? I am always questioning the team about these issues. Bone scanning also takes too long for you to see the improvement if any. I wish only the best hope test is favorable.

I was on Prolia since 2018. In 2024 my bone scan was not improving, so we stopped the Prolia for a year and used the Evenity. I have been back on Prolia for a year. I am waiting on results of my recent bone scan now. Hoping things have improved.
I have not had any major issues with either drug. I do have some mild bone pain, but I do have quite a bit of osteoarthristis. I exercise often and try to eat balanced healthy meals.

Sorry for the quick reply I appreciate your honest and helpfu information. I still would like an answer that has used injection and meds and how long has it been? I want to see if after three years did you still have no side effects Did you see a difference in your body mechanics. I truly would like to know, sometimes drugs take time to effect the body in a negative way .
