I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis almost 3 years ago. A Dexa was done last year and I am stable, meaning that I haven't gotten worse. I have heard that your fracture risk is much more important than the density scores. I changed my diet, added collagen powder, take K2 MK4, one small calcium supplement, omega 3, have 8 prunes a day, lots of veggies and fruit, some salmon and chicken, low fat milk, cottage cheese (very little cheese as I also have fatty liver) watch the sugar and salt intake, exercise between 150-200 minutes per week, including balance exercises, some yoga, weights and walking. I will not take any prescription drugs for this. Too many side effects! Try to fit into your diet arugula and prunes.
Christine,
Thank you for telling me what you are doing. I also do collagen powder, Omega 7, prunes, yogurt lots of fruit and eat no sugar. My blood pressure is good so I do eat a normal amount of salt. I walk and do a bit of yoga, not enough. My bone density came back today and I have lost some ground there. I have never fallen as I do a lot of balance work and have done yoga for years. I will not take the Rx drugs as the one injection of Prolia I had almost wiped me out. The fatigue was horrible.

Thank you Bev. I intend to continue with my supplements, yogurt and dairy.
It will work. The Rx stuff sucked the joy out of life for me. Betty5
I’m getting Prolia injections every 6 months now and I have been taking Vitamin 2 xD 3 1000iu daily and it is helping my Osteoporosis somewhat. It take Magnesium too. I also walk daily in the sun

Hi u two. Just saw ur posts about supplements. I take vit. K2 now includes vit D3, collagen & magnesium glycinate. Eat lots cottage cheese, yogurt & drink milk daily. Have several prunes each day & blueberries & banana. Protein, water, vegetables & fruit. My DEXA in June showed 5.8% improvement. I was taking vit D3 & K2 separate, but now buy together. Hugs.
