Hi Grammy 55 You have pain in your spine due to the stenosis. When this happens, the muscles surrounding the painful area tighten up in an effort to protect the bone. I think the occasional muscle relaxant would be quite helpful. Physio is also a helpful strategy. Good luck with it. I hate to see anyone suffering with pain ... including myself!
