I drink the orange juice with calcium and vitamin D and take 400mg of calcium citrate a day with D but want to start improving my eating habits now. I will be starting Tymlos within the next few weeks and want to get a head start and begin to fill my refrigerator and cupboards with more healthy options. Adding too much exercise will be more difficult so I am starting with water aerobics/exercise to get back in the habit of doing something regularly. I lost a lot of weight & this time without… read more

Members shared practical food sources for boosting vitamin D, with an extensive list including fatty fish like salmon and trout, fortified dairy and plant-based milks, mushrooms, and fortified orange juice, while many also noted they supplement with vitamin D3 and try to spend time in the sun. Several members described their osteoporosis treatment routines, including Prolia injections every six months, calcium with D3, K2 with MK7, and regular walking or water exercise to support bone health. A recurring theme was managing multiple overlapping conditions like severe asthma, COPD, and lung issues alongside osteoporosis, with members sharing their inhaler regimens, nasal rinses, and mucus-clearing techniques, and expressing gratitude for supportive families who help manage the financial burden of expensive medications.

Well we have some of that in common! I too take Symbicort twice a day two puffs, I carry albuterol with me all the time if I start coughing I take it immediately and it really does help I can feel drainage in the back of my throat which apparently you can too. I don’t do the sinus rinse often enough although I have the equipment to do it. But when I do it feels so good. I take 5 mg of prednisone every day for my asthma and 50 mg of doxycycline pretty much to ward off infection, I take one Allegra D and that is my asthma/allergy medicine. Then I take 4 Lamictal two in the morning two in the evening, and two Zonegran both of which are for epilepsy. Then add onto that some Mirapex for restless leg, singular to round out that asthma/allergy issues, a multivitamin and 400mg of calcium.
I think that’s it - I think it’s plenty four one day lol And now I get to add to that an injection of Tymlos once a day for the next 18 months!
