I am supposed to get my first delivery of Forteo tomorrow along with a starter kit of needles and a sharps box. I have to be home when it is delivered as it's packaged so it remains cold and I need to get it to the refrig.Start taking it Tues. 9/1/2020 after visit with nurse who is going to tell me all about it. Everyone think of me and say a little prayer that everything goes well - no side effects.

I've been on Forteo for 18 months. No side effects here. Remember to take it at the same time every day.
I set my alarm on my phone. Keep track of how you feel and don't overdo it and you'll be 18 months in before you know it!

That's great!! I can't drive or get in and out of the car by myself anymore, which is a real bummer.

I too am going to start Forteo for the first time. I am very nervous about the whole thing because this is my only treatment option and the side effects page on the info Dr. gave me has me really worried. I have had 4 compression fractures and 2 broken displaced ribs within the last 6 mos.
