I've been on Alendronate for about a month. Started having less bowel movements. Got to the point to where I couldn't go at all. A whole week I was so bloated I was in severe pain. My doctor told me to stop taking it and come in. The earliest appointment I could get is in a month. What do you think my other options will be?

Have heard 6 prunes a day is good for bone health..May help with bowel movements too .Terrible you have to wait a month ...I am lucky here in Sydney Australia specialist advised me to ring g him anytime with medication issues .First call yesterday impressed...Good luck to you
Try eating a pear before you go to bed. l find this helpful

Welcome Disneypal! Lots of good ideas on this friendly site! I would recommend prunes (also high in calcium!) and figs, fresh or dried.
I take Dulcolax when necessary as well. Extra fluids help too especially water.
Coffee can dehydrate you as it is a diuretic. Hugs
