Good day,

Please advise if there's any side effects once one has the injection, i.e. over 6 month period?
Just interested.
Thank you.

Members shared their experiences with Prolia injections for osteoporosis, with most reporting no side effects over their treatment periods ranging from several months to multiple years. Several members highlighted positive outcomes including improved bone density scans after two years of treatment, while others mentioned practical considerations such as timing dental work around injection schedules and monitoring calcium levels. A recurring concern was the fear of rare but serious side effects like femur fractures and jaw complications, balanced by encouragement from those who have seen meaningful improvements in their bone health through consistent treatment and lifestyle changes like calcium supplementation and weight-bearing exercise.

I have been on treatment for only 1 month. I haven't noticed anything out of the norm because I suffer from so many different thing not sure what is what...lol I am enjoying listening to everyone's story's good or bad. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis about 8 or 9 years ago. I was on fosomax for a few years and my primary care doctor had a bone density done and it had gotten much worse. So he hooked me up with this arthritis dr. and I did like her so I never went back that was about 6 yrs ago,

Still on early stage of medication so will give this a try first... If not agreeable, then might try another treatment.
