Has anyone here who has been on Prolia for more than a year been able to get OFF of it successfully?
That is, without fractures! And if so, how?
My understanding is that if you stop Prolia without starting another OP med (possibly biphosphonate) that research now shows likelihood of fractures. I'm not a medical person so advise all to read up and enquire as this could be very important.
Hello Viazoy. I am in 9th year of Prolia. No fractures since. In October, my endocrinologist and I need to decide which medication is best going forward. I will be 68 and have to take my chronic illness and family history into account. After 10 years of Prolia usage there are not enough long range studies to predict how much longer you can continue on this medication.
@A MyOsteoTeam Member hello I am finding Prolia injections are suiting me well after many serious side effects from the weekly tablet Alendronate ad Fosamax Plus was very bad for me.
I take several daily supplements and vitamins for my health and for my bone health I take Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D3 1000mgand my bones recover me well from fractures and broken ribs from two heavy falls last year.
Iβm in my 80s and have au try to walk every day around Maroochydore here on the Pacific Ocean East Coast of Queensland Australia
I have added you to my team to stay in touch with you
Hugs from Judyxx
