A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have tried to find women under 50 who has had osteoporosis for approximately 5 years due to surgery at a young age?

I had a full Hysterectomy at 36 years of age and was on HRT for 10 years. I have osteoerosis and osteoarthritis. I would be interested to find out if the early menopause is to blame. I have just had a knee replacement.

Hi Diane.
I had my hysterectomy in 1993 and from memory I was on it for 5 years?
And I believe it is the cause? HRT wasn’t associated with osteoporosis back then.
But in the 2003 I was told it has been and get bone density tests. It wasn’t that great then 😔

I wrote a book about my story but it went bam..gone?
Long story short. I had a rare cancer at 21 years old.
4 in Australia. 78 in the world. 25 survived. I am the youngest to have it. Lucky me as chemo and radio therapy does not work. I have suffered since. I’ll show you.
