How is it to give yourself an injection every day? What are the side effects?
Forteo was covered by insurance. Be aware it is not a cure. My osteoporosis came back.
I'm afraid of doing anything except walking and swimming for fear of hurting myself, but I get bored with these. My osteoporosis is mild in my spine and moderate in my hips. I've had two crush fractures. My back can be extremely painful. I've tried Pilates and yoga, but some of the excersises really hurt my upper back, so I end up not doing anything! I used to love cycling, but I've lost all my confidence and can't balance anymore as I'm so scared of falling off.
Try chair yoga.
Do other people feel pain sitting down anywhere for more than10_15 minutes and stiff when they get up?

My mother took Fosamax for over 8 years and still broke her hip. I have friends who have tried the shots and still broken bones. What have you found the most effective treatment for osteoporosis? I am also trying the exercise program by Margaret Martin. I already exercise daily and this helps me focus on a program particular to osteoporosis; including tips on what not to do. I have also heard that your diet is also a factor? Has anyone found this to be true? Thanks so much.
Hi, new member here. Im 52, diagnosed 2010. No medicine. No issues. Then a year ago I had a sciatic nerve (ie-rod in leg feeling) issue & lower back pain. A few mths later I had a multiple fractures from my neck to tail bone. 6mths ago had kyphoplasty on 3 thorasic,3 lumbar. DXA -5.6 spine, -4.0 both hips. Been on tymlos 4 mths. Iβve also lost 6inches in height and have a stoop .I think thatβs why I get the pain .Everything is getting squashed !!!π΅βπ«π΅βπ«π΅βπ«π΅βπ«

Iβm about to contact my GP - I follow the process to a tee however I continue us to experience severe GERD the entire day I take it
I have been on Prolia for two years; I have edema in my lower legs and feet. I feel it is from Prolia; I just went to a new doctor, and she said no one has ever reported that. As I was leaving, she told me to find that information. So, I am contacting anyone with information on that side effect.

It was overuse of steroids that caused my osteoporosis

Is this a complaint associated with Osteo Porosis as I have had it fo over 12 months? It started when I was taking Aledronic Acid with Vitamin D
