I have been diagnosed with 2 compression fractures one of T7 and L4 over a year ago, T7 still causes me pain especially when I'm on my feet for extended periods of time and when I perform house cleaning jobs such as vacuuming and mopping floors. I work in retail so I have no alternative but to be on my feet for 7 to 8 hours a day. Everything I've read said they should heal within 6 to 8 weeks but I just dont that is my case. Any feed back is welcome!
I'm 75 years old. My weight is 109. My untreated osteoporosis is monumental. Any suggestions or is 2 late?. Thank you ❤️ so much for any response

I have been taking generic Fosamax 70mg. going on 3 years recently my dentist said suggested I should stop taking it. My last test showed I now have Osteopenia. My doctor said to continue with it. Can anyone tell me how long they have been on it. I am worried ablut it's side effects. Thank you!
I stopped talking Fosmax after my dentist told me that I would have to wait 3 months before they could pull a tooth. Came as a shock wish I had been told before I began.

I wish I had researched that drug before getting the shot because I was miserable for over 6 months with many adverse side effects. I developed hyperparathyroidism and had surgery which removed 3 and 1/4 parathyroid glands. I… read more

Hello - As a software engineer (and a woman with osteoporosis) I am thinking of putting together a phone app which would be helpful to people with osteoporosis. I know there are apps out there which will tell you how much calcium you are getting in your food - wondering if anyone is using them and what you like/don't like about them.
What other sorts of things might a phone app be helpful for with monitoring osteoporosis - maybe setting exercise goals and sending reminders? setting goals… read more
