I was diagnosed via a Dexascan by my GYN. She has since retired, and I would prefer someone who is trained in osteoporosis.

My doctor is pushing for me to go on Prolia and I'm resistant, hoping to try a more holistic approach.
I was told to take vit D 5000 a day for Osteopenia (borderline Osteoporosis). Is it good to take
calcium also? Should I go to my regular doctor of a specialist.
Suggestions.
thank you,
i'm really curious about Algae Cal too has anyone used it and seen the dramatic results they claim?
Has anyone tried or is trying Evenity? I've been on Prolia for 2 1/2 years, and bones still got worse. Reading about this Evenity, I'm scared to death on taking it. I think I would fare better with more fractures. Sounds like it's scary stuff
Aclasta/Reclast work for me in combination with exercise 😊

I know I have no choice and am very worried but he explained my probability of having a fracture is much greater than any side effects I take calcium and Vitamin D. I appreciate any insight all… read more
