Oh bev thanku for reply....you'll never believe the comfort you give me knowing someone cares.
Over 4 yrs I've tried everything but never experienced such nerve pain intensity.
Enjoy your day and once again thankux
Hi Helen, l'm so sorry to hear that you are having a rough time of it! I do believe you! It sounds exactly like you are experiencing bad sciatica, from your spine pressing on nerves in your spinal cord. I had electric shocks going down my thigh, and a nurse didn't believe me... she thought l was exaggerating about pins and needles! π
I can recommend 3 things, which you might have tried alteady:
1. Alter your sleeping position completely. Try to get your spine as much into a good posture as you can, as if you were standing up. Even alter the tilt of your chin. If your mattress won't allow this, it might be time for a new one...
2. If your mattress has a dip in it, get a new one. Your body will hurt a bit, while it realigns, but after a night or 2, it should be Much Better.
3. My friend had osteo, and opted for sleeping in a recliner lounge chair, which she moved into her bedroom. It worked, because she could alter the chair until she had comfort.
The good news is, that, as you heal, the pain will fade. When l sustained a crush fracture in my spine, the pain was really awful, then it improved over the next few weeks, then it completely went. It took a few months, but now, unless l do something stupid, it no longer hurts.
I will be praying for you: for healing , wisdom, insight and fortitude! Keep getting well, my friend!
Love and hugs, Bev X0 πβ€π«πͺπ¦΄ππ€ΈββοΈ π³π¦π³
Thanku Rosie. Ive battled 4yrs numerous hospital stays...nothing they can do...nerve compression all over my body but legs feet hips are keeping me more or less housebound. I suppose we never stop looking for answers.
I pray you are being looked after well...God bless Helenx
Hello Helen, yes the pain and pressing of the nerves is exhausting.
My major problem is constipation, which affects the tail bone,, Hence I developed a flare up on a return journey from a happy family gathering over Easter.
This lead to the need for me to have 11 days respite, and now the for permanent rest home care.
Take care, and rest as much as possible. Cheers for now Joan
Thanku Josie.. im so grateful for constructive reply. Atm im in throbbing pain head to toe from osteoporosis fractures over 4yrs but my lower legs feet burning is relatively new...never this intense.
Im waiting phone call from spinal unit to bring forward my July appt. Living chronic pain is tough and when I ask you lovely people for advice and get your experiences it brings me hope.
Thanku Helen
