Hi Lily. Welcome to this site.
What type of weight bearing exercise r u doing to cause ur left hip to hurt? When I first c the term weight bearing exercise I think of walking. Then next I think using light weights for arms & hands. I do have light weight bands I could use for my legs or arms but haven't gotten around to trying them. And then there r people who can go to the gym & do weight lifting carefully & with a coach. I'm not able to do that. Anyway my grandfather always said...if it hurts don't do it. As osteoporosis patients we want to do what is good for us. We r all at different levels...what might b ok for my body might not b good for yours. But we want to b very careful. Do what u can without hurting yourself. Maybe u r doing something too much/too often/too hard. Maybe u should rest or not do as often. We have to pace ourselves in a gentle way. Hugs. London ♥️

Thanks for responding, I tried standing on one leg-That was supposed to increase bone density and leg lifts when i got diagnosed with osteponia last November-they hurt my hip earlier this year but when I tried leg lifts again just now-It didnt seem to hurt like before. I was afraid earlier this year that i was making things worse so I stopped. I guess Im kinda beating myself over the head that I didnt try harder for other exercises earlier this year. I could have prevented the osteoporosis? Dont know. But Im kinda a little scared now. This is the first time I got diagnosed with anything negative or something I cant fix. I am 73, I was always pretty healthy. So I am going to do my best to try to build up bone density. My doctor said there is a "significant decrease" in my left hip bone density and now I have osteoporosis. So it scared me
