Osteoporosis & Dexa Scans
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have Osteoporosis, do I still need to get Dexa scans done? Or once your diagnosed with osteoporosis, then you don't need any more Dexa scans ?
Thank you

Yes, it needs to b monitored thru time. Time period in US is evey two years. U need to follow good healthy lifestyle in nutrition & movement. Taking helpful supplements...important calcium & vit D. Depending on severity of bones, Drs may suggest strong medication treatments. How is anyone going to know if ur improving or not if not scanning. London ♥️

You should have quite regular scan I was told by past doctors but the one I have now says no.

Would suggest that you get a scan done periodically to keep an eye on the level of Osteo present.
