Getting Massages With Osteo Is This Recommended.

Hi Elsa. I'm not being disrespectful, but I want to say....Be Careful on the High Impact Exercise! I have read Weight Bearing exercise YES. But the heavy impact & what u listed, I read can cause fractures in the spine etc. I just wanted to say, use caution with those. Movement, building core muscles important for support of bones. I loved ur description of swimming as equal to sitting on the sofa. But it sure does feel good moving in the water. U take care. Hugs London ♥️
Of the countless osteoporosis experts I have watched on YouTube and numerous books I have read on this subject I have never heard of any recommendations to get massages or that it’s either good or bad. I have learned that swimming does nothing for osteoporosis because it’s the equivalent to sitting on your sofa. What is recommended is strength training, high impact exercises such as jumping, stomping, lifting heavy weights, running, endurance, walking. Of course, any exercise is beneficial to keep the body moving.
It sure helps my pain! I think massages help get the toxins built up in your muscles and get good blood flow back to your bones and joints. It feels good! So I say it helps!
Massage is always good, but not specifically recommended to improve bone density.
