I first must apologize for not being on this site for several months.
I was on Fosamax for over 5 years and now I wouldn’t recommend it.

I was prescribed fosamax, but in the end opted for natural bone-builders, as the thought of the side effects was so nausiating, l couldn't put it in my mouth! See my story...it won't fit here...and l hope it helps you. 🙂

I was on Fosamax for a while. I ached so badly that it would wake me at night. I could barely walk upstairs. Within a few weeks of stopping it, I was fine.

What I know about fosamax is that is only meant for short term therapy and it weakens the bone over time and can cause fractures and some people have deterioration of their jaw bone from it. I knew someone on it for 5 years and she was in awful shape. I have a friend who is 80 and has been on prolia for years and doing well and a lot of her friends have taken prolia and they also are doing well. Didrocal is the worst if you ask me. Actonel puts on weak brittle bone.
