Bionicwoman… i am having a total replacement
I wish you all the best and the thought of reduced pain must keep you going. I have not had such a surgery but I start retreat on the 4th so will keep you in my prayers.
I also had total replacement for shoulder 2yrs ago, was soo scared. I read psalm 40:1-5 every night an prayed every night. It really helped trust the Lord.
Dear Maeve, it’s normal to be a little scared prior to surgery. I usually have to go to the bathroom about 10 times before surgery. Relax it’s never as bad as you think it will be. I have had both rotator cuffs replaced, carpel tunnel surgery surgery in both hands and a total right hip surgery. I have learned that doing the exercises after surgery are very important. Stick to the exercises and everything will turn out fine. Best of luck.
There are two different types of total shoulder replacement, do you not know what type you are having?
