As MY Kaiser Dr and I discussed the Rx side effects vs Not taking the Rx med -
Side effects vs a BROKEN BACK !! I had an older friend that did not take Rx - she fell broke her back and a few month later she passed away! I choose the Rx - but just do your homework on the Mfg Website on side effects:

Example ReClast: one - 1-Yr - Treatment can cause Kidney failure if you do not stay Hydrated - declined - I already know I don't drink a Lot of water and
Prolia- you MUST stay on it for life as once you are off of it - the bones go back to the original bad bones you had or worse.

Are your bone scans showing improvement?

I was on Fosamax for 5yr - Did fine but did not like the weekly pill taking. I went to Boniva - it is once a month! Now that I've been on these 2 rx - for 11 yrs Dr wants to switch Rx - Not sure what my next step will be!
