Been on prolia 3 years. Reversed osteoporosis in my hips and very mild case in my back. No side effects. Doctor wants to take me off in one more year. I am concerned about side effects if I quit. Understand the oseoclasts which break down bone, go crazy when prolia is stopped.

I too tried Prolia for 3 years and after 3 fractures, last one a hip fracture and fracture of T2 in my vertebrae, my rheumatologist decided to take me off Prolia and start Eventi injections monthly. So far, so good. I’ll be on it for one year then get a dexa scan and put me in another medication for the rest of my life. Eventi rebuilds bone so I am excited to finally get a medication that should be helping me avoid future fractures

I was on Prolia for years and it did absolutely nothing to help my bones. My endocrinologist now prescribes self administered Evenity injections every 28 days which I have been on for 7 months and she says it seems to be working.

I’ve has other challenges but I have no idea whether there was any relationship to prolia shots. I choose to think it’s all ok
