I took it for 2 years without any side effects. It did wonders for my bones. Sorry you are having side effects.

I was on Forteo for 2 years and now Prolia for 4. I have not had any problems. Sure hope they work for you.

It is my understanding that you take Forteo for two years and then you begin the Prolia. I doubt that they will do any DEXA scan‘s for at least two years as it takes that long to show any progress in terms of bone density. I walk daily (5 miles) and do resistance (weight training) 3X a week. Lots of good videos on YouTube if you are just getting started. Talk to your PT. He/she should be able to advise you. Good luck.

Thank you for your info…How long do you have to take the shots and what were your numbers? I am going to start some PT so I know what kind of exercises I should be doing…Are you doing any?

I have been on Forteo for 3 months. No joint pain but definitely some stomach issues. I have this feeling like I’m hungry and my stomach is just grumbling. Goes on all day.
