Hi, I Have Been Advised To Start Therapy, Forteo Is Recommended. Has Anyone Been Told Not To Take It Before Dental Surgery?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have put off starting anything until next endocrine appointment. I do not want to risk jaw problems, I have dental surgery next month.
I am supposed to be getting stenosis surgery soon. Should I be concerned about healing if I am on medication?

I had A very bad reaction to for Forteo..... decided to try Prolia and ended up stopping it as my teeth are getting bad and my jaw has been in pain. My acid reflux was also getting worse. My teeth were in great shape before I started this and this makes me very upset that I even tried it. It has been almost a year since I’ve had a shot and I’m still getting strange effects I never had before 😣🤦🏼‍♀️ I would not recommend either one, but that is just my opinion. Everybody’s body is different. I went to physical therapy for about two months and I’m continuing it at home. It really helps when my back starts hurting. And I do not get any side effects from it except maybe a little bit of good pain! If there is such a thing as good pain!!! Also I’m taking calcium, vitamin D3, vitamin K2M7, vitamin C and collagen protein in a drink every day. I am quite satisfied with my results so far. I will know more when I get another Dexa scan whenever that is going to be! Well I hope you all have a good evening ♥️ Stay safe and healthy........

I had to have all dental work done before taking Forteo. Had no side affects.
