My thyroid was tested and the results were normal. However nails were breaking so I take marine collagen tablets and now have strong quick growing nails and hair too!

Helen, I started the collagen 10 days ago and thought my imagination was going nuts as my hair needs a trim after a month instead of 6 weeks! 😀

Confession..I forgot to buy marine collgen..I habve made a note to myself ..I shall do it and report back.My hair is looking unkempt too so that may improve with proper care.

Hi Shirley. First, do you have Thyroid issues? I had the ridges across my nails, some were quite deep. My osteoporosis was caused by my Thyroid failing and the parathyroids taking calcium from my spine. I had a total Thyroidectomy in September. Since then my nails are growing out good as new, no more ridges or splitting. Don’t have issues with my skull though. Maybe see an Endocrinologist for full tests on your Thyroid.
