Alendronate Or Alendronic Acid
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I took one dose of alendronate and was in severe pain, upper back/upper ribs/shoulders within about 14 hours. The pain was excruciating to start and has gradually lessened over t days. What causes this pain? Do not want to take it again and just trying to understand the mechanism of action.

I had the pain with prolia, formed and one other drug. Unbearable. I melting told it wasn't the meds. Once I researced, they were the side effects

I did. She changed it to Prolia. Not sure I want to take it. Just trying to understand the pharmacodynamics of the meds.
