Hi - It's very late and I'm going to try to go to bed & sleep. I agree that it's good to be able to tell someone about your pain and compare notes. ~ And regarding the dog in the house after surgery - The only thing I could think of was that he didn't want me to bend to feed/water him and things like that.
My doctor gave me a Topical Gel to rub on my knee when it's hurting and it actually helps ! It's called: Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel 1%
Have you ever heard of it or used it? If my Cervical spine hurts tomorrow, I'm going to try to rub a little on the back of my neck & see if it helps there.

My strategy is "One day (sometimes one hour) at a time." I'ts all we have, really. Every morning I wake up with pain - some days worse than others. (It's one thing I can depend on - pain upon waking). And I would be willing to bet that Most of you have the same experience. I begin to feel better around noon - Usually. On the rare day that I feel good most of the day I'm almost shouting "Hallelujah - I'm cured !!!" : ) I can't explain why the pain gets worse & better...but that's the way it is. By evening the pain often gets worse again, so I can safely say that I'm getting sort of used to things being the way they are. At least I'm alive and breathing and I have many other things to be grateful for. Many people are so much worse off than I am. I think the main "worry" in all this is > Fear of falling & actually falling/fracturing a bone or 2... I'm going to try to be on guard & conscious, quietly alert not to lose my balance or trip over anything. It really helps to share with you guys - it helps to see it in writing and know that so many others are experiencing similar things. * One more thing... I'm going to accomplish what I can & not feel guilty if I don't do more. I can only do what I can do...my "Best" is enough. Good Luck to you all, Ladies ! : ) [[Hugs]]

Hi Torment ~ I have Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Severe Spinal problems, Osteoporosis, Peripheral Neuropathy in my feet, and Restless Leg Syndrome. Evenings and nights are often quite miserable and mornings equally miserable in different ways. Sometimes the pain all runs together like a watercolor painting & what I feel is just misery. The neuropathy is often like being burned with a cigarette - abrupt & painfully hot. Restless leg syndrome needs to be re-named, because it is way way more than "Restless" - I can't describe any other way than severe discomfort that makes me want to squirm & scream & move & I don't know what I want to do - It's Not "Regular Pain" - It's Misery. And those are the ways I experience the pain of multiple disorders.

Hello Cheryl. Are you taking a lot of pain medication? Some of the pain meds can mix up your nerve system and that can explain your fibromyalgia. Osteoporosis is not painful unless you had a fracture and your alignment is out because of the fracture. If your alignment is not correct, you can feel pain in that areas. Some osteo meds can cause pain as well.
Hope you will be better soon 🙋
