Members shared mixed experiences regarding natural approaches versus medication for severe osteoporosis, with many expressing fear of serious side effects from Prolia injections, including jaw fractures, femur fractures, and back pain. Several members found success with calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, and regular exercise like using an elliptical, with one member reporting increased bone density from this approach alone. A recurring theme was the tension between wanting to avoid medication risks while managing a serious condition, with community members offering natural alternatives like essential oils, spa therapy, joint supplements, and consistent exercise routines.

I'm aftraid of the side effects. Broken jaw.. fractued femur .. fractured spine. Who wants to take that?? Curently I'm taking calcium, magnesium and zinc all in one and also "tropical oasis" complete joint relief.. seems to help. I also take Ibuprofen or tylenol for arthritis as needed..

I take the Prolia injections. Have had no problems with it. My osteoporosis is bad and my bones are very wesk. I get stress fractures in my back quite easily. I would do almost anything to strengthen my bones. I have pain in my back on a daily basis.
