I've been out of the loop for a while, but Prolia, in my case, was mixed. I was told there was great improvement in bone density after receiving three injections, but I also had three fractures last year which pretty much immobilized me! Prolia slows down ALL bone remodeling, not just bone resorption, so my doctor worried the fractures wouldn't heal. He discontinued Prolia, and started me on Tymlos, similar to Forteo, in an effort to goose things up a bit. I'm well now, but I don't think I will continue Prolia no matter what my doctor thinks.

I have had 2 Prolia shots with no side effects so far. I cannot have the bone density test again until next year so hope my bones are getting stronger. I take calcium, vitamin D3 and K2 and exercise. I have given up caffeine except for my 2 cups of coffee in the morning (one for each eye!) There is a lot of research on vitamin K2 now. It is supposed to direct calcium to your bones rather than staying in the blood stream. I’ll let you know how it goes.
