Neck Pain And Headaches With Osteporosis
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

My neck seems to be getting sorer and sorer and the inner noises it makes when I move my head worse and worse - crunch, crackle, crack and like someone walking on a stone pathway. I have a heachache that never ends - day or night - almost feels like a permanent hangover. Does anyone else have this problem?
Doctors are focusing on the compression fractures in my back, sacrum and thigh and my neck is always brushed off ...

Yes, I have same problem.
At one point the doctor sent me to the physical therapist where I did find some relief. The PT taught me proper posture, neck exercises, and massaged my neck. The PT confirmed that it was really my neck causing the constant headaches.
Posture is so important. We don't realize how much time we spend hunched forward working at a desk, driving a car, doing dishes, etc.
As I awoke this morning with a splittling headache and neck pain, I realize I need to get proactive again and take care of my neck doing neck exercises consistently. It's an ongoing battle with osteoporosis and degenerating discs.
I also love Classical Stretch exercise videos by Essentrics for overall osteoporosis well-being.
Thanks for sharing, you made me feel not alone in the struggle. I hope you find some relief! Hugs!

Gentle neck exercises really help! Don’t worry about creaking sounds, it’s just the joints loosening up!

Wow! I did have my neck cracking and piping for about 2 weeks. My neck was so sore that I could not move it more than an inch both ways, without terrible pain and crackling sound. It has since then been fine this week. But my pain switches a lot. Except for my spine, which always hurts, could be wrists or knees the next day. Also have deteriorating discs in my back. You are not alone.

Do gentle neck exercises a few times a day and you will get some relief.
