Most of the side effects, except the first 2 or 3, happen in less than 2 or 3 percent of the people who are using it. The pain in the joints comes from the activity of the drug in destroying the cells that are breaking down the bone and stimulating cells to build new bone

I took Alendronic. Acid tablets tablets for six years and here are my spine scan T scores
(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)
2012-3.2
2014-3.5
So it did no good at all...
I then ditched the meds ate healthily and exercised more
2017-3.2 improvement
2019-3.5 gone down again( in the past 2 years I have had to have 2 periods of 12 weeks not exercising as had done cartilage damage.... so I think exercise must be the key ..... my hips have gradually gone down throughout though but I’ve just found out that it I’d aqua aerobics ( without the bouncy bits )that are best for hips😊

Prolia works for me. I'm growing bone after 3rd year on injection. Don't waste time on Fosamax.
