Hi Linda, have you heard about Hypoparathyroidism?Have you gotten a blood test for PTH? (PTH = parathyroid hormone) So you may have thyroid disease.

I have been getting tested all kinds of diseases, but the main focus is Hyperparathyroidism. I was diagnosed in November and I'm still waiting for a treatment plan for my osteoporosis and parathyroid surgery. Last August I was diagnosed with 4th stage kidney disease. September I had my DEXA scan and I have severe osteoporosis. I developed Dupytren's Contracture in both hands and Reynaud's disease in my hands and feet. You mentioned the 24 hour urine test.
I had that same urine test several months ago. The purpose was to show if I was losing too much calcium through my urine.
As it turned out the 24 hour urine test did ahow that I was losing a very high amount of calcium through my urine.

When I was first diagnosed they did 24 he urine and other test to find out if I was losing calcium or if there was a problem absorbing it

Hi Linda...I think the blood tests are for hormone levels, & vitamins....D, B12, Calcium, & POTASSIUM...that's what they tell me!!
