Just had dental 6 month check (but was wee bit over 6 months!!!) Prior to bone density results or any treatment, was told early stages of gum disease!!! Dentist took x.rays&sadky my bones on one side of x.ray has lost 49% and other side over 59%, am so worried going to lose all my teeth!!! Have got 2 1/2 hour appointments over next few weeks for treatment, am dreading them so much, on top of everything else!!!

I believe that the osteoporosis meds contribute to sore gums and teeth.

The x-rays, when compared to earlier x-ray can show bone loss.
