I sleep well in the summer but as the days shorten my insomnia comes back. I’ve bought a special SAD light And have been using for nearly three weeks but no improvement yet. How long shall I persevere?

Members offered encouragement and practical suggestions to someone struggling with winter insomnia and seasonal affective disorder despite using a SAD light for nearly three weeks. Several members recommended giving the light therapy more time to work while also suggesting complementary approaches like taking melatonin, using relaxing essential oils or lavender pillow sprays, and trying products like Deep Sleep Pillow Talk that combines spray and pulse-point treatments. A recurring theme was patience with the body's adjustment process and the understanding that seasonal changes affect everyone differently.

I feel for all of you who are finding it hard to deal with your osteoporosis, problems that come with it and other problems you have alongside it.
Within two years I have come to recognise that I am very lucky. My two hips I had replaced are marvellous, although when I overdo housework that's when I feel I'm struggling.
My son was cross today because I'd helped my husband (my sins step dad) move the broken dishwasher out to the front of the house and he'd Said he'd help. Arthur is 80. I should have called up to Paul and told Arthur I could fracture my back, but I didn't. Enough said, you should listen to your body, and remember what can happen to it. I carried on cleaning the area ready for the new dishwasher to be installed. Now I'm tired and aching.
Take care and stay safe and cosy, through the cold sad winter months. Sending hugs to all you Team members 💝😀💞💗xx

I like to diffuse an essential oil that has a pleasant relaxing fragrance. That relaxes me. Some people like to diffuse lavender or spray pillow with lavender. It is suppose to help you sleep. Some baby washes have lavender in them and some mothers think that helps the baby sleep. I am not crazy about the scent of lavender so I prefer just using anything that I like the smell of.

I'm the opposite i sleep well in the Winter nights but not so well in Summer nights when going on holiday i discovered aproduct called Deep Sleep Pillow Talk in duty free and i bought one oh boy was i sorry i didn't buy more as it really does work it was £16 in duty free but have now found it on Amazon although it's £28 there but worth every penny you get two products in the box one you spray on your pillow , the other you rub like perfume on your pulse points and it lasts over a month , you might like to try it.
