I have a compression fracture .... result of a friends car driving into me and pushing me through my garage door (2023)
Had leg in a full brace for 11 weeks. After severe back pain and then scans, the compression fracture was picked up...but nothing has been done about it so still sometimes in agony.
I guess they ditch 80 year olds now!

Absolutely — many people on MyOsteoTeam are living with multiple compression fractures, and it's one of the most talked-about topics in the community. You are definitely not alone in this.

A MyOsteoTeam member shared that they developed compression fractures in 3 vertebrae along with a near-complete spinal cord compression, and went on to have surgery followed by physiotherapy and exercise to aid recovery.

Others have described the pain from compression fractures as unbearable when it happens, though many note that these fractures can heal over time. Pain management and understanding treatment options are common concerns members discuss. If surgery has been discussed as an option, it's worth knowing that a procedure called vertebroplasty — where cement is injected into the fractured bone — has shown mixed results in research. Some experts now suggest it may not be more effective than non-surgical approaches for pain relief, so it's important to have a thorough conversation with your doctor about the risks and benefits before deciding.

Thank you♥️.
Nothing will change as nothing will ever be done about it as I have a brain meningioma, and have had a pulmonary thrombosis and a stroke years ago. I find ways to cope as I think life is too short to just give up and I really want to keep on with my gardening and crafts for as long as I can😊.
