What are the effects of vitamin D3 supplements on bone mineral density in postmenopausal women?

Mine hasn't and after 3 years on alendronic acid I now have GORD which medication for that has started a vicious circle of more headaches. All this has been a waste of time. My blood still has excess calcium though I take D3 with K2.. latest lot with Biotin & my nails have improved. So I'm being sent for appointment to arrange injections for osteoporosis. Hoping the GORD will ease after stopping bisphosphonate tablets. I may get my singing voice back ;-)
I have noticed some arm hair (it's been absent a few years) So whether that's the Alendronic acid or the D3 K2 I'm unsure. When I was horrified that all my limb hair disappeared GP's thought I was nuts, as if I should be grateful. However being fair I never once shaved legs as you couldn't see them. In fact took me long time to notice they were gone. I do have Hypothyroidism though & my parathyroid has been high. I now need to research injections to make sure I'm not getting the one with worst side effects :-)
I do hope the D3 K2 works for you.. I certainly won't quit taking it because my levels in blood improved, it's just not removing the excess from my bloodstream :-( but that's me.. I do give D3 K2 supplements religiously to all my birds & they all have D3 UV lamps.
*Tip D3 is fat soluble so take with meals with some fat content and not just with water.
Really. I wonder why. Sorry to hear that. With all the technology and medical advancements I'm surprised that they can find a better option for all of us who suffer from this debilitating disease.
I have been on K2 and D3 for at least a few years now, Unfortunately, my bones have not improved at all. Recently had a bone density, still not good
