Has anyone been offered IV treatment for osteoporosis? This is something my specialist has discussed

He's not mentioned the name of a drug, just that I need a repeat dexa scan, dependent on the results I may have to stop the Aledronic Acid and revert to IV treatment. I just wondered if this was a usual course of action?
