Yes I had a total hip replacement in 2012 and a total knee replacement in 2014. The reason I needed my knee replacement done is I put off getting my hip replacement done for way to long and it effected how I was walking putting pressure on my knee.
The hip replacement was good. The healing time was a few weeks. I even forgot the hip has been replaced. The knee I know it was replaced. Your doctor will give you exercises to strengthen your muscles before and after. Good luck
