I took Forteo injections everyday for two years…That is as long as a person can take that drug…it is suppose to build the bones then go on Forteo every 6 months to slow down the shedding of the bones! My bones did not improve after the two years on the Forteo although I know several people that it did work very well…I think my osteoporosis was just too severe to start with! I am now doing the prolia every six months, working out, taking supplements and watching my diet…will see next year what things look like! Each person is so different that what works for one might not for another🥰

I have with Forteo. I had to give myself daily injections. I took it a little over 2 years. Then I had 5 of my vertebrae fracture and then my foot 2 times. So I asked to be taken off of it. I will be taking Prolia next. I think it was also a contributor to my kidney stones. My advice is to try what you choose. If it doesn't give you the results you want then go back to your doctor. Every person is different.
