That is so interesting. I too have had periodontal work 5 years ago and have lost a couple of teeth in recent years! I definately will talk to dentist before taking any medication.

I had a gum disease long before I got diagnosed with osteoporosis it was completely cleared up and gone prior to my being put on Risedronate however, I got an infection in a tooth with a filling I’m so glad the dentist recognised Risedronate he referred me to a specialist team at a dental hospital it took a few years of treatment then another infection saw me having my teeth removed and monitor over a period of time then it was delayed due to Covid now only 2 teeth on lower jaw left, I just can’t get used to the false teeth upper jaw as need that stuff to keep them in place I’ve tried several brands each one makes my gums red and uncomfortable like an allergic reaction to them can’t find alternative that is compatible any one else got this problem

Did the teeth infections occur before or after you took medication for osteoporosis?
