Has Anyone Had A T3 Spinal Compression Fraction Fixed?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

How long did it take to feel better? Before it doesn't hurt or I can walk normally? Or exercise? It's been 8 days now.

@A MyOsteoTeam Member hello I hope you feel better soon. I have compression fractures in the Thoracic spine 10,11and 12 and a Scoliosis bend in my right ribs area.
Personally I haven’t had any surgery and I’m able to get outdoors an walk about 4kilometres several days a week and I use my walker for stability

I wished I had known about the TBS test to exam the inner strength of my vertebrae prior to having a kyphoplasty on my L1, L3 and L4. Perhaps, if I had perhaps we would have learned my bones were very brittle and subject to subsequent fractures. This knowledge would have been helpful to determine if having kyphoplasty on my L1, L3, and L4 was the right treatment choice. Especially because my T12 fractured within 7 days of my L1, L3 & L4 repair. I then had a kyphoplasty on T12 and a week later T6, T8, and T9 fractured. I am letting the last three fractured vertebrae heal on their own. I am on week 12 of healing, the pain has subsided, and I am moving more easily. My L5 showed it had healed on it's own from a fracture, so I believe they will heal, too. Along, with fracturing 8 vertebrae since April 2023, I recently learned i had hyperparathyroidism, and that this most likely has caused my bone fragility. Surgery revealed 3 of my 4 parathyroid glands required removal. I will have a surgical follow-up with my Endocrinologist,in a few weeks, to review my blood work and find out if my PTH levels reveal my parathyroid gland is now working to direct calcium to my bones. Wish me luck! I highly recommend anyone with bone loss Google search: hyperparathyroidism. You will be fascinated by the symptoms of non-functioning parathyroid glands in relation to bone loss and other health issues.
I wish you good luck with whatever route you choose to go with your vertebral fracture.
