A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I'm in a great deal of pain most days from several spinal fractures and spend a lot of time lying on my bed as it's the only way I get relief from the pain. I have a compromised immune system (lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome) among many other health issues, if I cut or injure myself for example, I take a long time to heal
As I have very little immune system, I'm scared that my spinal fractures will never heal. My rheumatologist told me they cannot be operated on as I'm too old, (age 67) and… read more

Dear Kia2, So glad to hear you will be looking into this. I would even at first cut out the calcium and vitamin D and just take 350 mg magnesium ciitrate a day and see how you are. I know my husband had awful pain and problems from taking just calcium with no magnesium and also my sister was on calcium alone and vitamin D and got on magnesium and said she is pain free and able to walk all through the mall without her walker. I will tell you what I took to cure me of fibromyalgia it was Pantetheine and COQ10 250 mg and malic acid capsules and 5-HTP and took one of each pill once a day for 6 months and was cured and don't have to take them anymore. I know it is lupus but it is similar to fibromyalgia and magnesium is said to help almost any illness. You can get those supplements at any health store.

Dear Kia2, I might add that they have found that magnesium is a great help for lupus and I had a severe case of fibromyalgia for 20 years diagnosed by a rheumatologist and met a scientist who told me what to take and he cured me 100% and have been symptom free of it for 14 years. Fibromyalgia is similar to lupus and if you like I can tell you the supplements to take and they are not expensive and every bit as strong as prescription drugs and after taking them for 6 months you can stop and never have any symptoms of fibromyalgia again. The doctor who sent me to the rheumatologist said yes I am cured completely.
They do find even the doctors and researchers that magnesium is a great help for lupus. In 7 years Moderna company said they will have a vaccine out that will wipe out cancer and heart disease and autoimmune disease completely.

Dear Kia2, Please don't mind me saying but I was asked to teach nutrition in the schools in 1988 I knew so much and even more now. I must say that anyone taking vitamin D and calcium with no magnesium will bring on osteoporosis and pain in bones and joints and muscles not to mention heart trouble and a whole host of problems. I would say take two parts calcium and one part magnesium and leave out the vitamin D for now. I am one person who caused a lot of problems by taking vitamin D and calcium and no magnesium and I know many others also who had problems as well. Magnesium is known to help pain and bones in a tremendous way and take 350 mg of magnesium per day. I have told people and a lot of people won't listen to me but even many doctors and specialists say to take magnesium for pain. I am on blood thinners plavix and have no trouble taking magnesium and I used to have terrible pain in my knees and everywhere.
It helps nerves and insomnia and a whole host of things

Hello. πŸ™‚
I take vitamin b complex, vitamin d and calcium.
I have to be very careful what I take as I'm on blood thinning medication and it badly interacts with so much other medication.
I take co-dydramol 10/500 for the pain, but it isn't working as well as it used to in the beginning. I don't want to take anything stronger as my body will make a resistance to that too. It's a catch 22 situation.
