Has Anyone Switched From Prolia To Fosamax?
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I started on Prolia 5 1/2 yrs ago. My new Dr. told me that it was not the first line of treatment so wanted to put me on fosamax. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

I started out with Fosamax and then after about 3 years was put on Prolia. I have lost a lot of height over the past 6 yrs. From my spine shrinking. I used to be 5’8” now 5 ft. Disgusting. I am round shouldered, use a walker. I am 91 yrs.

Hi, I take Fosamax. There is a once a week option I switched to. My bone density scores improved after 2 years of taking it, plus a vitamin regime and exercise. I am fortunate, no side effects!

Yikes. Quite a difference. Was it because of the osteoporosis? Why did you go off Fosamax? I started Fosamax today. Hope it was the right thing to do. Hard to wait the 1/2 hr. so I could have my morning coffee! Have a great day Egreene8! 😃
