Does anyone know if a Cortisone injection is acceptable when you are taking Prolia Margaret Clements
I have osteoporosis,and I am happy to say I have not had any broken bones! My bone density test show my 60 year old bones are like that of an 80+ year old women.However I am in pain every day, my knees,hips
,back and hands hurt the most. But my doctors say there is no pain with osteoporosis until you have a fracture or break. And X-rays have not shown much arthritis. How "much" do I need to have for them to explain the pain I have? Have any of you had pain without fracture or arthritis?
I have been diagnosed for a little over 6 months. The pain is getting worse. I really do not want to take the meds the Dr. has prescribed. The side effects seem horrible. (The one the doctor recommended "Calcintonin" can cause cancer. it is a nasal spray. I'm looking for a more holistic approach. I came across an herbal supplement called AlgaeCal. I take naturello bone strength. Same ingredients as algaecal and so much cheaper
i'm not sure what type of osteoporisis I have. Type 1 or Type 2? I was diagnosed with osteoporsis when i was about 54 years old post menopausal.

I was diagnosed via a Dexascan by my GYN. She has since retired, and I would prefer someone who is trained in osteoporosis.

I always thought that the pain in my joints, especially in my hands and knees was just part of aging. Now I don't know if the pain is from osteo or just age
I don’t have any pain from Osteoporosis but have a lot from Osteoarthritis. Also have Osteopenia that can be painful at times.
I seem to tire more easily. Is this part of having osteoporosis
I think pain makes us tired. I get so tired and depressed at times. Listening to music is helpful
