How is it to give yourself an injection every day? What are the side effects?

I was on Forteo for the required 2 years and have now started Prolia. I had no side effects with Forteo, and the injections were easy to give. Overall, it increased my bone density except for the left hip that showed no change. For me, it was worth trying.

My close friend works in an orthopedic office and she highly recommended it. I can’t get into a rheumatologist until 9/2022 so it will be awhile before I can make that decision.

Forteo was covered by insurance. Be aware it is not a cure. My osteoporosis came back.

I give myself insulin 3 times a day. Not a big issue after the first couple of times.
