My Dexa Scans Have Shown Osteopenia For The Entire 8 Years I Have Been Getting These Scans, Since 2013.
A MyOsteoTeam Member asked a question 💭

Yet the doctor claims I have Osteoporosis, even though all blood tests and x-rays taken last year, (a year after a scan) were normal. I just had another Dexa scan and it also says Osteopenia. I don't trust the doctor any longer so I asked him to send my results to my primary doctor and I cancelled my followup appointment.. What could have made him change my diagnosis from Osteopenia to Osteoporosis? I have not lost any height and never broken a bone.

Awe.. Well, my guess is that: bcuz we all show signs of osteopenia, and Ive read that most people have signs of scoliosis the doctor wasnt explaining things to you
Not being a doctor or seeing your xrays, it sounds like it?
Perhaps you've done the rt thing in seeking a second opinion after researching whom you can trust.
You need to find a quailfied Endocrinoligist. However find out what methods they support for treatment and whether they are more Wholistic, or all pharma. Its important for you to be able to understand these values so that you can trust in your treatment plan.
Seems your bones were in the normal stages of first osteopenia, most show minute loss and then it measures into the early signs of osteoporosis. Your primary doctor can explain to you what these number values mean by the number readings from your Dexa Scan results.
Call the Triage nurse, ask her to explain those numbers to you. You have to dig and ask the questions .
Hope this helps. ❤️
Have a lovely harvest, and a Happy Thanksgiving season.
Love Sophia
