Has Anyone Taken Fosamax?

Has Anyone Taken Fosamax?

I am starting and all I hear is horror stories please share

Dear Betty, I do know an awful lot about osteoporosis and fosamax is only meant for short term treatment as it weakens bone over time and causes bone fractures. I have known many who took it for five years and were left in terrible shape. Forteo is something new but has awful side effects and a friend of mine has been on prolia for years and the only side effect is back pain and knee pain and she knows a lot of people on prolia and are doing not too bad. I do know about a lot of natural help for bones but again I am not a doctor. My aunt died of osteoporosis while on didrocal a bone building drug. I see all the time on this site people taking calcium and vitamin D and no magnesium and without magesium you will not absorb any calcium from food or pills and will develop a heart condition in a lot of cases. Also with no magnesium you won't process vitamin D and taking calcium alone or with vitamin D is the worst thing you could do.
I am okay and am only on this site in order to help others but it is sad that a lot of people don't pay any attention to me. The top naturpathic doctor in Toronto told me I knew far more about vitamins and nutrition than she did and that I was teaching her. Even my doctor years ago called me in to her office to ask me how I got over osteoporosis.

I don't know how long you can go on fosamax but I do know an awful lot of people who were on it for five years and their bones got worse. Prolia is good and forteo for high risk people some people have no problem with it at all. My doctor said she threw all my files on osteoporosis in the garbage for some reason and I am on my own. I had to call the Commissioner of Privacy of Ontario today because she told the hospital where I had 7 cat scans of my lungs not to tell me the results and I am so sick of this. They are all nuts as far as I am concerned. Statistics Canada says that 80% of physicians are mentally ill.

I was nervous also do put it off for more than a year. Continued to exercise daily, weights. And eat healthy but my density got worst so I just started it about three months ago. No problems
I want to be checked again in 6 months to make sure it is helping instead of waiting a year

Hi Betty. I sure do appreciate you asking. Turmeric is an anti inflammatory and so good for arthritis and pain and insomnia and so many things and I take it and collagen is known to cause cancer. I think Boswellia is a herb and you should not take herbs with drugs but if not on drugs I think it is good for a lot of things. The doctors at Mt. Sinai Hospital at the covid unit were so interested to hear what I took to get me over the long term effects of covid that lasted a year or more and they were all set to put me in the hospital and give me steroids when I got this stuff called Allimax Pro 450 mg one pill a day on an empty stomach and like a miracle no symptoms of covid after over a year every day with heart palpatations and severe weakness and shaking all the time. I said to the doctor Maybe it is just coincidence and he said No we think it is the Allimax which is a component of garlic. I even cured myself of brain damage from a stroke and the doctors all agree. Ischemic brain damage. Glad to answer any of your questions Adelle Davis books on amazon are not expensive and so interesting. She was a leading nutritionist in the states years ago. Let's eat Right to Keep Fit is a good book of hers and a lot on osteoporosis and many ailments and diseases.
